Kids teaching their teachers

In his own words:

“Classtell was created because the options available to teachers for making websites weren’t good enough.” — Kasra Kyanzadeh, 15-year old founder of Classtell.com

Not bad when a 15-year old kid from Toronto can create a Learning Management System — virtual classroom — for his teachers to use.

Its a busy space with Google pushing Google sites into this space among many others. In my estimation there is lots of room for new entrants because the existing LMS’s combine simple calenders, notes, homework, grade posting and basic media and blogging. I’d like to see someone leverage lesser-known tech like plagiarism management sites and adding sites-within-sites to allow students to create and shape sub-learning environments within the larger virtual classroom.
